Day 1 Welcome to Sri Lanka

Day 01 –Airport – Kandy

On arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed and assisted by the staff and will be dropped until the hotel.

Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.

Visit Kandy Temple of Tooth Relic.

Day 2 Day2– Kandy- Nuwara Eliya

 


-Travel to Nuwara Eliya

-Visit Tea plantation: Tea Factory

Tea is a huge industry in Sri Lanka. Ceylon Tea is world famous for its taste, quality and health benefits as well. You will see how the tea pluckers with their baskets and bags pluck tea leaves from the plantations. With women of various ages engaging in this activity, seeing the tea plucking activity is fun and exciting. The trick is to pluck the right tea leaves with the correct properties. These tea leaves are then taken into the factories where the selection process starts. The fresh and best leaves are put into the machines for the processing. The rolling, withering, processing is all done with the help of the machines and a lot of helping hands gather around to do the packaging, storing activities as well. You will also get the chance to taste a fresh cup of tea straight from the factory and you will definitely love it.


-Visit Sri Bhaktha Hanuman Temple - is built by Chinmaya Mission of Sri Lanka. Located in Ramboda on Kandy- Nuwara Eliya. 

 

-Visit Seeta Amman Temple- is a unique temple. It has been made at the place where Seeta Mata spent her days in the prison of Ravana approx. 5000 years ago.

Day 3 Day3–Nuwara Eliya- Hikkaduwa

 

After breakfast at the hotel, get a transfer to Hikkaduwa.

En route visits Kithulgala and gets the experience of white water rafting.

-Water Rafting

 

Enjoying the view of a stunning Waterfall is already amazing but abseiling takes this adventure far beyond the limits of a normal sightseeing of a tourist. The intense and powerful feeling of the water combined with the fact that you are hanging on a rope and that there is nothing but water beneath and above, will give adrenalin push like you have never experienced before. Water fall height is 105 ft. Waterfall Abseiling is an ideal adventure activity to test your confidence.

 

-En route enjoy a boat ride in Madu river.

Madu Ganga, the beautiful river nestles alongside Whispering Waters. Madu Ganga is considered as Sri Lanka's second largest wetland consisting of 32 islands including two main islands providing shelter to 215 families. Madu Ganga is possibly one of the last remaining tracts of pristine mangrove forests in Sri Lanka.

Overnight stay at Hikkaduwa

Day 4 Day 4- Hikkaduwa- Colombo

After breakfast at the hotel transfer to Colombo.

In the evening enjoy a city tour in Colombo.

Colombo- Colombo is the business and commercial centre and the new capital is Sri Jayawardhanapura Kotte, only a few miles away. Colombo was only a small seaport, which came into prominence in the 16th Century with the arrival of the Portuguese in 1505 and the development of it as a major Harbour took place during the British period. Colombo became the capital of Sri Lanka in 1815 after the Kandyan Kingdom was ceded to the British. The remains of the buildings during the period of the Portuguese, Dutch and British rule are found in every area of the city. None of the Portuguese & Dutch fortifications is found today but some of their buildings and churches could be seen in the Fort Pettah areas. Visit Fort, the former British administrative centre and military garrisonSea Street - the Goldsmith’s quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area where there is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings, the Kayman’s Gate with the Belfry at the original gate to enter the Fort.

A drive through the city will take you to the busy commercial areas as well as the tree-lined residential, Cinnamon Gardens. Visit Fort, the former British administrative centre and military garrison, Sea Street - the Goldsmith’s quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749. Also, visit the BMICH, see the replica of Avukana Buddha and Independence Square. Also, we see the Dutch quarter of the city and the Wolfandal church where the Dutch influence was present on this island.
